![]() When you shoulder the Fatal X for the first time, it feels like a slightly muzzle heavy AR-15. I love the ergonomics of the AR-15 platform. Photo courtesy of Killer Instinct Crossbows. Killer Instinct has 9 minute assembly video on YouTube to help walk you through the process. There are 3 bolts that fasten the buttstock/crank assembly to the barrel assembly. Assembling the Fatal X is rather simple, and an added plus is all necessary Allen wrenches are included. The quiver mounting bracket will also need to be installed onto the full length picatinny rail. The Lumix 4X scope is in a box and will need to be mounted. The AR pistol grip and forearm are not on the barrel assembly and will need to be attached. The barrel and limb assembly are another piece. The buttstock assembly and Rapid Draw Crank are one unit. Opening the box, you will find there is some assembly required. When the big brown truck dropped the bow off, I was amazed at how small the box was it shipped in. The Fatal X with RDC ships with the Pro package that includes a 4X Lumix scope, a sled rope cocker, a quick detach quiver, three (3) 20″ inch Hyper bolts, field tips, and a tube of rail lube.įirst Impressions – Killer Instinct Fatal X Crossbow with RDC ![]() The overall length with the AR-style stock collapsed is 29.75″ while with the stock extended it is 31.50″. Photo courtesy of Killer Instinct Crossbows Specifications – Killer Instinct Fatal X Crossbow with RDC It essentially has some of my favorite attributes of the Killer Instinct X-1 combined in a conventionally designed crossbow at a great price of $699.99. The Killer Instinct Fatal X shares the same ultra narrow 6.25″ axle-to-axle cocked and 9.75″ width uncocked as the Killer Instinct X-1. I am a fan of the X cam system because it has 50% let-off as well as the cams are synchronized to eliminate tuning. The Fatal X shares the same X Cam system as the X-1 crossbow that I have been competing with at 3D archery events all summer. Killer Instinct Crossbows recently sent a Fatal X with the integral Rapid Draw Crank (RDC) to AllOutdoor to review. ![]() Posted by Carl Hutchinson on Oct 28th 2020ġst time using a crossbow and i couldn't be more pleased with this bow took my very first deer with it and it was over before he knew what hit him could have bought any crossbow on the market but this one stuck out to me.AllOutdoor Review: Killer Instinct Fatal X Crossbow with Rapid Draw Crank All in all, I feel that it was a worth while investment. I bought 325 grain bolts.(also from walmart) Scope seems much better than other scopes that came as standard equipment with other brand crossbows that I have purchased in the past. I did not use the light (270 grain) bolts that came with it. Sighting in was not difficult and I shot an 8 point buck the first time I hunted with it. This is my third crossbow purchase and I will say, I was NOT disappointed. But I read a LOT of reviews on several crossbows in this price point and decided to give the killer instinct fierce 405 a try. Ive been an archery hunter for 30 plus years and I'll admit, I was sceptical of purchasing a new crossbow from walmart. I would give it a 7 out of 10 for the price. Seems to shot nice but the battery for scope dies to quick. Got the bow this year and so far have not had a problem with it. Great value for such a fast and lethal bow. Nice clean pass through at about 25 yards. I harvested my deer first time out with it. ![]() LUMIX 4 x 32 IR-W Scope, Rope Cocker, String Suppressors, 5-Bolt Quiver, (3) HYPR Lite Bolts and Field Tips, Stick of Rail LubeĮnjoying my Fierce 405.
